RED CROSS FUNDS.

M ATTER OF ADMINISTRATION. SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT. The matter of the administration of Red Cross, funds amounting to over £5OOO, in connection with which an application was made, to the Supreme Court last week, was the subject of a reserved judgment delivered by Mr 'Justice Stringer at Auckland yesterday afternoon. The £5OOO is in the bank in the namte of the Hobson County Committee olf the Auckland provincial Red Cross campaign. His Honour said: ‘‘Being satisfied that the purposes ofi the; trust of the funds mentioned are insufficiently defined, I establish the following scheme for the distribution of the said fund. That the fund be transferred to the Council of the Auckland Ce,ntre. of the New Zealand branch of the Red Cross Society and Order of Sit. John to be held by them upon trust.”

(1) To pay the sum of £lOOO to the Mayor of the Borough of Dargaville, to be expended by the Borough Council as it thinks proper in beautifying and improving the Northern IWairoa Memorial Park.

(2) To pay the cost of all parties. J 3) To apply the balance for relief off the sick, wounded, disabled, or necessitous New Zealand soldiers who toook part in the recent Great War.
