WARDEN’S COURT.

SITTING AT PAEROA.

(Before Mr J. H. Salmon, Warden.)

A short sitting of the Warden’s Court was held at Pa.eroa c*n Monday, Mr J. H. Salmon, Warden. The Imperial Gold Mining Co., Ltd., Paeroa, applied for a reduction of rent to 2s 6d an acre for two years in respect to 75 acres at Karangahajte known as the Imperial and Royal special quartz claims. Mr. E. Edwards, secretary to the company, appeared in support of he application. The Warden agreed, to recommend the application to the Minister. The application of J. W. McCoy, Auckland, for a license to work a claim of 100 acres at Upper iWaitekauri known as the Sit. Hippo special quartz claim, was adjourned for formal declaration. Henry D. Bedford applied for six months’ protection on the Desert Gold special dredging claim. The Warden intimated that protection had already been granted on previous occasions. However,, he was prepared to recommend the appHcdr tion to the Minister with .the suggesl- - that this be the last period of protection to be granted. Roy Bateup applied for a prospecting license over 100 acres at Waitekauri, being part of the old Jubilee . claim. The application was granted, subject to special conditions agreedupon with the owner off the Hauraki pastoral lease affected.
