BASKETBALL
A WIN AT HAMILTON.
TOURNAMENT TO PRIMARY TEAM.
On Saturday last two teams, A and B, representing tlhe Paeroa Basketball Association, journeyed to. Hamilton to try conclusions with the association at that centre. Though the Hamilton Association is a much larger body than that at Paeroa, and the games were played on grass courts, to which the Paeroa teams were not accustomed, the results showed that the local teams are capable of good basketball. The results were as follows :—
Hamilton A 15, v. Paeroa A 8 ; Paeroa B 23, v. Hamilton B 15.-
SCHOOL TOURNAMENT.
A tournament between the various primary schools of the district was held on Saturday on the Paeroa courts. In ’ the first round South beat Waihi Central 19—15, Paeroa Primary beat Waihi East 38—8, Paeroa Convent beat Te Aroha 20 —9. Paeroa Primary beat Paeroa Convent 10 —2, and in the final beat Waihi South 10—3.
