FOOTBALL.
TO-MORROW FIXTURES. THAMES VALLEY V. WAIKATO. A treat should be in store for followers of Rugby football tomorrow atfernoon at the local ddmain. The principal attraction will be the'representative game between Thames Valley and Waikato, which will start at 3 p.m. The Waikato union is sending down a strong and thoroughlyjjepresentative team, which should give a good account of itself. Considerable interest is being taken in the Thames Valey players, each of whom will be on his., metal and a trier, as on tomorrow’s game will depend his inclusion in the touring team or otherwise-.
“A curtain-raiser to the senior match will be played between teams representing the Piako and Waihi primary schools.
A considerable sum is yet required by the Thames Valley Union towards the expenses of the touring team, and it is confidently expected that with such a star fixture as, tomorrow’s'' game the public will respond liberally, and that record gate takings will result.
