SEVEN KEYS TO BALDPATE. In “Seven Keys .to Baldpate, the famous comedy, Douglas Mac Lean plays the role of a young novelist who seeks the solitude of Baldpate Inn to write a novel in twenty-four hours. A band crocks seek the inn at the same time, and gunplay, near-murder, and general pandemonium ensue. And through it all Douglas Mac Lean, in the character of the writer, persistently does the opposite to the right thing at every opportunity.
SATURDAY NIGHT.
JUST A WOMAN.
Though silent when sden in “Just a Woman,” which will be shown tomorrow night, the Montmarte Cafe Orchestra of Hollywood supplies the favourite music of Mary Pickford. Douglas Fairbanks, Charlie Chaplin, the Talmadges, and countless other stars. In “Just a Woman” it does wonders for the dancing feet of Conway Tearle. Claire Windsor, Percy Marmont, and Dorothy Revere, who head the cast.
CAFE CHANTANT.
BAZAAR AND NOVELTIES.
Pleasure and amusement for young and old are to be provided by the committee of the Sports Queen (Miss Iris Masters) at the Soldiers’ Club, Paeroa, on Monday evening. The function is to be the grand finale, and every effort has been made to introduce a novel form of an evening’s amusement. In addition to the bazaai there will be hoop-la, cocoanut shies, duck-pond ringulets, and a mock telegraph office.' When tired of taking part in the fun of the Fair an adjournment to the s,upper booth willbt; both refreshing and enjoyable. A full orchestra has been specially engaged for the. evening. Seldom has a. better opportunity presented itself in Paeroa for the public td obtain ah evening of fun, bargains, and enjoy? ment.
A special reminder is given that at 2.30 o’clock on Monday afternoon a baby shoKv is. to be held at the GaiOty Theatre. There are two sections provided, namely, under six months, and from six months to twelve months.. Six prizes in each section will be awarded, 'a.nd mothers are cordially invited to bring their little ones
along. The whole of the proceeds of those tivo functions are in aid of the local Boy Scouts’ band and the Girl Guides’ troop.* _
