Duncan, E, A, Booth, T. Alderson, WClark, L. Killgour, R. Hutchinson, JGarry, E, French. Emergencies: E. Smart, M.- Madgwick (backs) ; R. Spencer, R. Madgwick (forwards). PLAINS CLUB MATCHES. CLOSE OF COMPETITION. The last of the inter-club Rugby games under the control of the Haura.ki Plains Union were set down for play on Saturday last, but, as is usual in this district at the end of the season, little interest was shown, and of the five games only bne was played. This was between the Turua and Waitakaruru seniors, the- result being a win for Turua by six points to nil. The senior competition has concluded with the points as follows: Turua 18, Ngatea and Plains West 12, Waitakaruru 6, Kerepeehi 4i, and. United Coast 2. Fifty-three of the sixty games in the competition were played. Kerepeehi froteited once, West twice, and Coast four times. The winning team (Turua) scored 78 points and had 33 points scored against it. The points for and against the runners-up were : Ngatea, 108 and 53 ; West, 80 and 38. In the junior competition 35 of the 40 matches were played. Ngatea and Kerepeehi each won five of the seven games they played, and each, secured two points by default Probably these teams will play off on Saturday next, although it has been suggested by the Kerepeehi club that it pW th®\ Turua match again owing to the circumstances under which the previous match was played. The matter will be decided at the next meeting of th® union. Gf the other teams Turua has 10 points, West 4, and WaitajraTuru 2. SCHOOL FOOTBALL. In the primary school football match on Saturday between Paeroa and Piako, played at Te Aroha, former won by 12 points to nil. Trie's were scored by Grant, Irwin, Robinson, and Wilson. Mr O. Barker was referee.
