LOCAL FIGURES FOR JUNE.

INCREASE FOR THE HALF-YEAR.

The following meteorological information ofr Paeroa for the month of June has been supplied by the local office of the Public Works Department :—

Rain fell on 14 days during June, the heaviest fall being on June 28, when 0.79 in was recorded. The total rainfall for the. month was' 4.53 in, compared with ’s?s3in for the corresponding month last ye,ar. During the six months of this year 24.05 inches have been registered, an increase of 7.32 inches over the fall for the first six months of 1925. The thermometer averaged 50 degrees, the coldest day being June 21, when the record showed 41 degrees. On twenty days during the month a south-west-erly wind prevailed.
