CHARGED WITH THEFT.
YOUNG MAN IN TROUBLE.
BREAKING AND ENTRY ALLEGED.
Before Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M„ at the Pae.roa Police Court this morning, a young man named George Arthur Prindle, labourer, was charged with alleged breaking, entering, and theft from the, residence of Mr Kenneth McCardle, of Manurewa, and stealing a wa.tch and chain, clothing, and £1 in money, to the total value c/f £l2 6s.
Senior'Sergeant Maclean stated that accused had been arrested at Ngatea on Saturday night, and had been in the lock-up at Paeroa since then.
On the application of the police a remand was granted, accused to appear at Mercer on Monday, July 5.
