W' The accident to Cotter occurred in the second quarter, and first aid was rendered by Mr a<nd Mrsj Costello and others, the outfit belonging ,to the i Ngatea club coming in very hajidy. felThe Turna doctor was called, but on ' arrival he deemed it unnecessary to 5- have the Splints, removed until the * patient got to the hospital. There he. was- taken in a light Ford truck,' and an X-ray examination disclosed tha,t the break w.as a clean one. ■ McCollum was injured during the third quarter, and after first aid he was removed to Mr Costello’s| house. ' Cotter was the star back of the Ngatea team and of the Hauraki representatives* .and he'had a, very good chance oft being included In the. Thames Valley representative team. His loss will be keenly felt.
