POWER BOARD POLL.
FURTHER LOAN AUTHORISED. MONEY FOR RETICULATIiON. The proposal of the Thames Valley Electric Rower Board x to ra.jse a further loa,n of £150,000 received the support df the ratepayers at the poll which was, taken over the whole of the board’s area on Wednesday laiit. The,final returns show that the total number of votes polled was 2061. Of that number 1256 votes were recorded in favour of the loan and 80‘S against .the proposal. A three-fifths majority was required;, the proposal thus being carried by a majority of 20 votes.
