MINISTER OF MINES.
DUE AT PAEROA THIS EVENING. DEPUTATION AT KARANGAHAKE. The Minister ot Mines,.' the Hon. G. J. Anderson, accompanied by Mrs Anderson, Miss Dunnington (typiste), Mr Sherwood (private secretary), and Messrs J. Kimball, (Under-Secretary for Mines) and G. C. Godfrey (Secretary for Marine), is, due to arrive at Paeroa. from Thames by this evening’s train. The Ministerial party will; be met a : t the railway (station by Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P., and members of the executive of the Paeroa Chamber of Commerce and conveyed to the Criterion Hotel, where the, party will be tendered an informal complimentary dinner by the Chamber of Commerce. After dinner the Minister and members of the chamber will; proceed to Karangahake, where, at the request of the chamber, a. deputation of miners will be received asking for the provision of a public crushing battery at Karangahake for the purpose of treating ore. The Ministerial party, with Mr Samuel, leaves Paeroa to-morrow for Waihi, where several deputations, will wait on the Minister.
