The folly and unseemly behaviour of ' dance patrons, pulling down streamers and other decorations froin the ceilings and walls was again enacted towards the closing stages of the Athletic Club’s social a,nd dance at the Gaiety Theatre last night. To save the large dome suspended from the. ceiling from ruthless, destruction an appeal, was made by Mr W. Pennell, one' of the M’lStC. Fortunately the appeal from .the stage was successful, but the floor was strewn with decoration's which were more easily seized and torn down. Apart from the fact that the debrisi impedes dancing, it should be remembered that very dften the decorations are expensive and the carrying out of the scheme entails much thought and arduous work to complete. The thoughtlessness on the part of dancers is worthy of censure, and what has, apparently become a habit should be discouraged by promoters or dances.
