COUNTY ELECTIONS.
NOMINATIONS FOR OHINEMURI. TWELVE NAMES RECEIVED. Nominations for the office of. councillors on the Ohinemuri County Council closed with the returning officer ,Mr R. W. Evans, at neon today. The following nominations, have been received :— Paeroa Riding.—Messrs W. F. John-, stone, F. C. Hubbard, T. P. Vuglar. Kayangahake Riding.—Mr A. D. McGuire. Waitekauri Riding.—Mr H. M. Corbett. . ■ . . Mangaiti Riding.— Mr C. E. Mace. Kaima,nawa Riding.—Messrs A. R. Robnson, R. R. Morrson, V. Young. Waikino Riding.—Messrs S. H. Morgan, C. Mason. Waihi Riding.—Mr C. Hands. Paeroa and Kaimanawa, ridings are entitled to two representatives, and the remaining five ridings, to one representative each; Therefore, it. will be necessary .to hold an election for the Paeroa, Kaimgtnawa, and Waikino ridings, the, poll is to be held On May 12. . Messrs H. M. Corbett and W. Marshall have been, nominated for the sea,t as county representative on the Thames Valley Electric Power Board. It will therefore be necessary 1 .to take a poll over the whole of the county to select this, representative. Messrs ,W. C. Kennedy, ajid A. R. Robinson have been, returned unopposed as the county representatives on the Thames Hosptal and.'Charitable Aid Board. : Of the nominations for councillors Messrs T. P. Vuglar,' V. Young, and C. Mason are the persons who are not members df the out-going council. Mr P. Grace has been the county representative on the Electric Power Board for some years, but he not seeking re-election tliifs: year. Neither Messrs Corbett or Marshall have beeh 'members: of .the board previously. .
