PAEROA RUGBY UNION. MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The weekly meeting of the Paeroa Paeroa Rugby Union Committee was ( held on Monday evening, the chairman (Mr W. Pennell) presiding. REGISTRATIONS. The following registrations were approved : Ea.st juniors, R. Williams, N. Gooding, L. Boyce, A,. Bowmaji, L. and S-. Radford. West third-grade, W. 11. Paraku, G. Pakinga, B. Williams, A. Simmonds, M. Davis, W. Tressidia, ,G. Spinks, J. Morland, C. Wickliffe, T. Monkley, J. Pereniki. ' An application from the Karangahake. club to register C. Drinkwa.tei and A. Willdamis was deferred pending further inquiries into the I'esidence qualification. An application from the West club for the regrading of E l . J. Pennell from senior to junior was deferred until next meeting. INTER-UNION FIXTURES. The offer of the Thames union to play a match at. Paeroa. on May 29 was accepted. It wa r s- also .agreed that Paeroa’s first game for the Birch Cup should be played at Thames. REFEREES’ REPORTS. Dissatisfaction was expressed at the delay of referees in forwarding their reports, and it was resolved that, the Referees’ Association be requested to instruct referees to forward the reports to the secretary in time for each weekly meeting of the union on Monday nights. It. was'moved by Mr J. H. Walmsley, and seconded by Mr J. Rackham, that the attention of a union official at Hikutaia be drawn to the remarks contained in the referee’s report on the Suburbs v. Netherton senior match at Hikutaia, on Saturday last.
THAMES VALLEY DELEGATE. Owing to Mr J. M. Crosby having been appointed secretary of the Thames Valley-Union, his position on the. executive wa.s filled by. Mr R. Hodson. CLUB COLOURS. Mention was made of . the fact that certain players wer e still taking part, in cOmp’etiiton games wearing other than distinct club colours. It was resolved that offenders in in future would be stood on the line, until such time as the correct colours were procured. It was also decided tO' a.sk >the Referees’ Association to co-operate with, the union in giving effect to the decision,.
DISORDERLY BEHAVIOUR. A member referred, to the unseemly behaviour between two players on Saturday last, ,as> referred to in Monday’s issue- of the “Gazette.” It was resolved that, any unseemly behaviour on the’ palrt of players would not be tolerated, and offenders in future, would be severely dealt with by the union. RESOLUTION OF SYMPATHY. Reference wa,s made to the a.ccident met with by H, A. Morrison. towards the closing stages of the Netherton v. Suburbs senior match, at Hikutaia. on Saturday last, and it was resolved, on the motion of the. chairman, seconded by Mr Slyfield, to record".the members' sympathy with the player concerned and express, good wishes for his speedy and permanent recovery..
