RECORDS FOR MARCH. ■ The-following reports for tlie’.montli -of March were submitted to a.-meet-ing*c.f the Thames Hospital and Charitable Aid Boa,rd on Monday:-— I - - HOSPITAL. •; -- - .'■The resident surgeon , (Dr. J. Ritchie) reported that 36 male and 40 female pa,tients had been ■ admitted, and 43 males and 38 females had been discharged 4 males and 1-female haij died, and there were, 2J -males and 29 females remaining at date. Operations- were performed on 26 males and 25 females. Outpatients totalled 2L requiring 64 attendances. “Drinking Water.—The water uised at the/ institution for drinking purposes, has ■ beeiL ’ passed through ; a Ber.kefeld filter and is, therefore mechanically pure. This, however, does not get rid of the;objectionable- taste due -to chlorination. This ip; specially objectionable to those used to a,, better water-supply than the inhabitants of Thames.” . /. DISTRICT. HOMES. The superintendent of the District JHome-s, Tararu, reported that there had been one death’,. and 14 malesand -2 females; were • remaining at date. . , MATRON’S REPORT. The-’matron (Miss- K. M. .Ansenne) reported on various stafi matters There were six women a,nd three babies admitted to the maternity annexe. There had been,.three -bii thhand five patients were remaining at date. ■ PATETONGA NURSE. ’ Nurse 1 McNamara .reported 'visiting 14- patients, in the Patetonga district. Fees had been paid by 10 .patients to the amount of.£l 10s. , . ■
