The members of the Waihi- Croquet Club visited Paeroa on Wednesday and played an inter-club match with the local players. Commencing goon after ten o’clock, an adjournment was made for lunch,’ the visitors being entertained at the Criterion Hotel. On resuming play the-local, team steadily forged ahead, and at’ the conclusioii of the afternoon’s play it was found that Paeroa had won five games, with 188 points, against the visitors’ three gaines, with 126 points.
.The riaveir were loud in their praise of the condition of the lawn, which played particularly well for this time of the year. The additional facilities available by the provision of the new Test-room and conveniences were much appreciated, and pleasure was expressed at the picturesque surroundings of the grounds and the up-to-date appointments available.
