It has some interesting short stories in .this number, also a long complete novel, “The Silence of Rossiter Byrne,” byi Warren Schutt. “Hutchinson’s Adventure Story Magazine” for January is again an interesting number, and is brimful of excitement. Among the contributors, are Sir Rider Haggard, Austin Harrison, and H. Bed'ford-Jones. “Cassells” is world-famed, and the enlarged Christmas number gives excellent reading. The opening chapters of a new story, “Tiie Silvei Spoon,” by John Galsworthy, is contained in this’ number.

“True Love Stories”' is another magazine which devotes, its -pages to true life stories of love’ and romance. This number is well worthy df inclusion in the. collection.

"The Corner,” although smaller than'many of the monthly magazines, has some splendid light reading. The contributors in this issue are William Le Queux, Richard Lennox, John Hunter, E'. Ne.wton Rungey, and Alexander Porterfield. The long complete novel, “The Avenging Twins’ Return,” is contributed by Johnston McCulley.

“The Mys.tery” is ever a welcome number to the collection of magazines,, and its gripping - stories are weir selected.

For young readers “The Little Folks” is \ a constructive magazine. The Christinas number is a bright one, and should rea’ch the home . with itts' companion, “Chums.” of every home where young folk abound. “Chums” has some special articles on stamps, wireless, Ifootball, and boxing,
