MOTOR ACCIDENT.

LITTLE GIRL KNOCKED DOW. ESCAPES WITH MINOR INJURIES. Shortly before 8 o’clock on Friday night a motor accident occurred in Belmont Road, Paeroa, opposite the . Ohinemuri County Chambers, little . girl named. Peggy . Liggins being in--1 jured. There,was, considerable traffic in the street ,at the time. It appears that the little girl got ' ■ out of a car which had stopped' opposite the County Chambers and attempted to run across the 'Street, in doing so she apparently did not notice ( a large car, driven by Mr L. Shaw, approaching at a slow speed. The child ran right, into the car, striking the front right mudguard. The driver , pulled up promptly, but not before the little girl had been knocked down and dragged a short distance. The child was, picked up and carried into a nearby chemist’s where she was attended, by Dr. T. G. Smith, who Jiappened to be coming out of the public library, at the time. The injuries consisted of a cut and bruised left leg, and a cut on the head, none of which was considered
