PATETONGA. GARDEN PARTY. A garden party was held on Thursday afternoon last at Mr N, Wallace’s residence to welcome the Rev. and Mrs Averill, the Rev. Averill, being the newly appointed vicar of the Hahraki Plains parish and successor to the Rev. Beauford, now of Raglan. The gathering wajs a representative one of all sections of the- community. During the afternoon musical items were rendered, tennis also forming part of the programme. A. dainty, afternoon tea was served. Among those present were Messrs A. M. Samuel, M.P.
