RECKLESS CYCLIST.
OTHER BREACHES COMMITTED. CONVICTION AND FINES IMPOSED. John Robinson, farm labourer, Netherton, was charged with, on March 5, riding a motor-cycle in Belmont and Normanby roadis,- Paeroa, in a reckless and negligent manner. Chargee' of failing to produce a, license as- required by the Act and failing to display distinguishing marks on .the machine were a-l®o recorded. Defendant, pleaded guilty to .the three charges, and stated that the machine was one he had borrowed.
Constable McClinchy said tha ; t the defendant had been riding round the main streets at a hs,t rate on Friday evening. There were a lot of people about at the time, but fortunately no one was injured. His Worship said that such beha.viour would not be tolerated. Defendant was convicted and fined £3, and costs 125,, on ,thg first, 'charge, convicted and fined 10s, with 7s costsl, on the second charge, and convicted on the third count and ordered to pay 7s costs.
