5000 FAMILIES STARVING
RESULT OF SHIPPING STRIKE.

LONDON, February 26.
Mr Havelock Wilson has instituted an appeal for help for the dependants of the seamen who were concerned in the recent shipping strike, especially those who left their ships at Dofhinion ports, resulting in over 50’00' families being deprived of their means of support.
Mr Wilson asserts that the strikers at Sydney were assured there that funds would be provided for .their wives) and families but many of these wives and children are still without support. •
The committee of , King George's Fund has given £4oo'o and the Seamen’s Union f 1000. \
