SATURDAY’S MATCHES. KEEN GAMES WITNESSED. The third matches of the final round of the Hauraki Plains Cricket Association's inter-club competition were played on Saturday last, great interest being taken owing to the nearness, of the end. of the competition and the closeness of the points of the teams. The Kopua/ahi team secured a win by 20 runs from Kaihere in a onemnmgs match, and Waitakaruru would probably have secured a threepoint win from Pipiroa had time permitted the second innings 'tp l be continued.
