TO-NIGHT. FIRE BRIGADE BENEFIT'. Embarrassing moments, many of them, fill the delightful cpmedy-fa.rce “My Husband’s AVives,” starring little Shirley Mason and Bryant AVashburn, which is '.to be shown to-night. As the title suggests, it is the ex-wives who cause all the mounting colour. Imagine inviting your husband’s exwife to share your little honeymoon bungalow in the mountains,. That is exactly whal Shirley Mason, as the latest Mrs William Harvey does, unknowingly of course, the ex-Mrs AVilliam being one of her school chums.
“AVoman to AVoman” will also be shown, featuring Betty Compson. This is said to be one of the: best and mos.t sincere films yet produced in America. This double-star programme is being shown ais' a benefit for the Ph,eroa Volunteer Fire Brigade, to assist it with funds towards defraying the. expenses, of sending a team to take part in the fire brigade conference and demonstration at Dunedin.
