SCHOOL HOLIDAYS.

VACATIONS FOR 1926. The Education Bpard, Auckland, has advised .that the 1926 school vacations will be as follows,: — Easter, Good Friday, and Easier Monday. One week commencing on Saturday, May 8, and ending Saturday, May 15. Two weeks commencing Saturday, August 21, and ending Saturday, September 4. Except in special circumstances, and with the consent of the board having been previously obtained, no variation of these vacations will be permitted. The special holidays, Anzac Day, the King’s. Birthday, and Labour Day, will as.o be ohlserved. The .three single holidays allowed at .the discretion of school committees are for the celebration of general or local events, ro for school sports or excursions, and must not be added to the term holidays.
