ENTERTAINMENTS.

GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. QUO VADIS. An entire city aflame —that is but one of the awe-inspiring rights in First National’s new gigantic film spectacle, “Quo Vadis.” While Nero, Roman tyrant, strums his lyre upon the balcony of his luxurious palace, beneath him can be seen a vast city cloaked in smoke and fire, a roaring, blazing mass of falling buildings. Thousands' of people, old and young, rich and poor, flee from their flames, clutching the few valuables they could seize before the red tongues reached forth for them. Twenty thousand men, women, and children are said to have participated in this sequence of “Quo Vadis.” The picture will be shown to-night. ST. LEON’S CIRCUS AND ZOO. FRIDAY NEXT. On Friday night St. Leon's. Circus will appear at Paeroa, and the residents should take! this opportunity of witnessing a bright, clean, and wholesome entertainment.
