PERSONAL.
Mr J. D. Mair, Government architect, Wellington, was on a visit of inspection to the new post office building yesterday, and stated that he was well pleased with the way the contractors had so far carried out the work.
Mr E. A. Mahoney, the newly appointed clerk to the Hauraki Plains County Council, arrived in Ngatea on Monday. Mr Walton will relinquish office at the end of March.
Captain A. H. Grove, from Cambridge, has arrived in Paeroa to take charge of the local Salvation Army corps, vice Captain Humphries, who has been transferred to Devonport.
