Lieut V. J. Innes, N.Z.SiC., adjutant, Hauraki Regiment, Taeroa, leaves today for Gisborne to a.ttend the annual camp of C Company and the headquarters. wing of the regiment.

Mr J. Hubbard, uho underwent a sjerious operation at the Thames Hospital a fortnight ago, is making slow progress towards recovery, but his condition is still causing his relatives and friends considerable anxiety.

Miss E. G. B. Whitten, who has been a member of the teaching staff at the Paeroa District High School, for some years, has resigned in order to take up an appointment under the Wanganui Education Board at Castlecliff.

Miss E. S. Taylor and J. Conolly have been appointed to the staff of the Paeroa District High School as probationers.
