Mr L. B. Campbell, district engineer, Public Works Department, Auckland, was at Paeroa. on business -yesterday.
Miss A. J. Thorp, B.Se., has been appointed to the staff of the Paeroa District High School.
Mr O, G. Thornton, A.M.1.C.E., has taken up his duties, as resident engineer, Public Works Department, Paeroa.
Mr F. G. Stockwell, 8.D.5., arrived in Ngtaea on Wednesday to take up the position of dental officer at the Ngatea District High School dental clinic.
Mr A. J. Innes, of Kerepeehi, who underwent a major operation at the Thames Hospital on Tuesday, is reported to be progressing favourably.
Mr L. May, Who lias been resident Public Works engineer at Paeroa for the past five years, and who halsi been promoted to a similar position at Nelson, leaves for the South, accompanied by Mrs Maj' and daughter, by this evening’s train.
