CRICKET.
LAST SATURDAY’S GAME. Through a misunderstanding the Waitoa and Waikinp cricket elevens both arrived in Paeroa to pl?y the local team on Saturday last. The arrangements that should have been carried out were Paeroa v. Waikino, at Paeroa, andWa,itoa v. Te Arolia, at Te Aroha. In view of the two visiting teamis- being on the ground, and as, Paeroa could not put out two teams, the three teams amalgamated and played fifteen men .aside in a single innings game. The contest was a very uneven one, but as the game ’was not a competition one the friendly match was-thoroughly enjoyed. MATCH ON SATURDAY. On Saturday the association games will be continued, when Paeroa will ■meet Waitoa. The local eleven will be selected from the following: Shand, Pivott, Stack, Day, Fox, W. Taylor, Tams, Wilkinson, Haggett, Verran, Rolton, Edwards, Farrow, Jenkinson.
Members are urged to attend practices, which will be held a.t the domain to-night, to-morrow, and Friday. The selector advises that only those players who roH up to practices will be selected.
