QUEEN MOTHER DEAD.
MARGHERITA OF ITALY.
ROME, January 4
Margherita, mother of the King of Italy, is dead, having succumbed to a cerebral' attack.
Queen Margherita was daughter of the Duke of Genoa, and cousin to Humbert I. They married in 1868. Humbert was murdered by Dresci at Monza on July 27, 1900', and Victor Emanuek the present King, who is quite overshadowed in his own country by the all pervading Mussolini, succeeded him.
