GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. "WHO ARE MY PARENTS ? “Who are my Parents 7” is the titU of the principal attraction for tonight. The story was written by "Mr X?’-a new author for the screen, who has' won an enviable reputation by his, first work. Having gone to life itself his material and selected sympathetic motives, and humorous incidents of an appealing nature, he has shown great skill in constructing his story. There is, a sharp rebuke administered to the society women, and also* to the old style stern father who thinks it his. duty to regulate his daughter’s love affairs, . THURSDAY, DECEMBER 24. THE CHARMER. “The Charmer,” which is to be shown to-morrow night, is based on the British novel “Mariposa," by Henry Baerlein, and tells, of Mariposa, a dancing girl, who goes to New York under the wing of a kindly theatrical manager. With her mother, who is a great comedy character, she becomes rapidly involved in a series of fantastic adventures. Heading the supporting cast in the picture are. Robert Frazer and Wallace Macdonald. Macdonald is a millionaire world traveller ; Frazer his chauffeur. They first meet Maripotsa in Seville, and from then on it is, a h,ammer-and-tonas' affair between the two for her affections.. The chauffeur wins out in the end. . ■ CHRISTMAS NIGHT. THE KINGDOM WITHIN. The greatest picture since “The Miracle Man,’” ’is the concensus pf opinion of those who have seen .“The Kingdom Within,” to be shown on Christmas night. Thei Ktory deals with a sturdy old blacksmith, Caleb Deming, who longs for a son who will, be sturdy andistrong, and) a man among men. The' child is born a cripple. However, hd possesses, a keen spiritual; insight to offset his physical defect which he exerts, upon Emily Preston, th(? r girl next door. The story'is gripping, and moves forward rapidly to a thrilling climax.

The famed beach of Tahiti is the centre of much of the action of “As Man Desires, which is to be screened on Boxing night, and features Milton Sills, and Viola Dana. Miss Dana pfl.ayis■the part of a native dancing girl, favourite of the beach-combers and sailors of the Tahitian waterfront. Sills is a former British army officer who, to save his life, deserts and becomes the skipper of a sailing *hip. “As Man Desires,” made for First National by Earl Hudson, was adatped from the novel “Pandora La Croix,’’ by Gene Wright. MONDAY, DECEMBER 28. SQUIBS. M.P. . Squibs, after her return from her holiday to Paris, starts a rival milk company to a Miss Fifzbulge, and finally gets her fiance to stand for Parliament. Through her father’s efforts he is accused of bribery, and Squibs, once again through her father Tying about her age, stands instead. She is elected, makes a wonderful speech that the nation requires good, fresh milk instead of battleships, and afterwards goes' to stay with some Wealthy parliamentary people. Miss Fitzbulge is there chasing Squibs/ father, and discovers that Squibs is only twenty, not thirty, with the result that Squibs has to retire from Parliament and decides to settle down by marrying Charlie Lee, her old sweetheart
