POWER SUPPLY.
POSITION IN BOROUGHS! DISCUSSED IN QOMMiTTEiE. The question of the supply of electricit y tc boroughs, particularly wifli regard to the Te Aroha and Thames’ boroughs, was brought forward for discussion, together with’' a lengthy report submitted by the engineer,. Mr N. G. McLeod, at yesterday’s meeting: of the Thames Valley Electric. Power Board. The chairman (Mr F. H. Claxton)’' moved that the reading of the report’ and the discussion be taken in committee. He deemed it prudent to pursue this course at the present time, as; certain facts would warrant it. Mr F. E. Flatt strongly objected, and said that the members had received a copy of the engineer’ia report! He contended that there was! nothing to hide from either the boroughs concerned or the public. On the motion being put it was. de- ■ dared carried by six votes to four.
