NGATEA. HALL SOCIETY, The Ngatea Public Hall Society met on-'Saturday evening, Mf G. T. Davidson presiding over Messrs W. McDuff, G. Phillips, C. McTaggart, S. Phillips. C. W. Schultz, and J. N. Anderson (secretary). An offer to the society to take over the stall in accordance with its option at £26 10s was received. It was. decided to offer £l7 10!s for the building, excluding the stock and certain fittings, and .that in the event of the offer being accepted the secretary call tenders for its, renta.L The secretary was) instructed to have certain repairs effected. The secretary intimated that on account of his leaving the district he would have to resign the secretaryship.

It was decided to accept the resignation with regret and to invite applications for the position.
