S with practically the whol.e of its kill- ~ ing done inSydpey being able to compete with New Zealand, said that the existence of- so many works in New Zealand was ‘ now exercising ..a good deal of thought in meat trade circles. Men well, up’ in the trade in London, told him they were hoping to secure co-ordination or reorganisation of the • meat industry in : New Zealand, as at present the many works operating affected v in many cases both the treatment, and the shipment of meat.'
