DAIRYING RETURNS.
PAY-OUT FOR OCTOBER, INCREASE ON LAST YEAR. On November 20 the gross payment' made to suppliers attached to the Paeroa office of the N.Z. Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., for butterfat supplied up to October 20, and including’ rebates on coal, totalled £76,692. Of that amount £10,910 was paid to’ cheese suppliere. Although in several parts of the Auckland province a decrease in but-ter-fat production as against last season has been recorded, it is pleasing to state that in the Thames Valley, area, w'hich also includes the Hauraki Plains, there has been an in--crease of butter-fat for both bptter and cheese to the extent of 60,0001 b compared with October, 1924. The total" otuput for the Paeroa, Ngatea, and Waihou butter factories amounted to 519 tons, for the month, which is nine tons more than that manufactured during the samei month last year. The five cheese factories controlled from the Paeroa office between them produced some 29 tons' more of cheese tha'n in October last year.
