Mrs Lambert failed to close the door between the tiger’s detij and the cage. The coroner remarked at the inquest that she had been long accustomed to take this - precaution. It Was an instance of failure through the human element of forgetfulness.. An expert gave evidence that tigers could not be tamed. Trainers could take risks with lions or leopards, but never with tigers. ' f
