ELECTORAL ROLL.
POSITION IN OHINEMURI. SMALL INCREASE SHOWN. The supplementary and final electors’ roll for the Ohinemuri electorate for 1925, which closed on Thursday evening last, shows that 711 persons have registered, which brings the total number of electors enrolled up to 7857, as compared with 7668 in 1922, This year’s main roll contains 7146 names, as compared with 4802 in the 1922 roll. The large increase in names on the main roll this year is accounted for by the fact that registration was compulsory, and also that only one supplementary roll has been issued. In 1922 two, supplementary rolls were issued, containing 2866 names. The total increase in the Ohinemuri electorate is 189. Although the increase in actual numbers its comparatively small it has to be remembered that this year the rolls have been thoroughly purged and only legitimate enrolments have, been accepted. In 1922 .the roll, contained the names of many persons who were deceased or living outside the limits of the Ohinemuri electorate. ,
