The monthly meeting of the Ohineniuri County oCunci.l is to be held tomorrow. • Toad flax (Linaria vplgarisi) has been added to the third schedule of the “Noxious Weed Act, 1908.” By Order-in-Council, the Paeroa Borough Council is authorised to borrow the sum of £2,000, at a rate of interest not exceeding six per cent, for the purpose of erecting municipal chambers. Included in the speakers at the presentation of the Paeroa Primary Schoolsi’ Shield .at Netherton on Thursday last was Mr T. P. Vuglar, one of the vice-presidents of the Paeroa Rugby Union. He expressed his pleasure at being present at the function, and congratulated the Netherton school team on their success. Speaking at the Paeroa Rugby Union’s social on Monday night, the president of the Thames Valley Rugby Union (Dr. W. R. Lawrence) said thta the local union could rest assured that arrangements would be made for a number of representative matches to be played at the Paeroa Domliin next season.
