GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. ON THE BANKS OF THE WABASH. “On the Banks of the Wabash,” which is the principal attraction for to-night, its a story of life in a typical small town where petty rivalries, unrequited love, and jealousies and hate and romance rise fiercely, only to be tempered in the end. A tremendous storm scene, a rescue by an old sternwheeler vessel of the residents of Cranberry Corners from flood and a fire, bring the photoplay to a dramatic close. Mary Carr, Burr Mclntosh, James Morrison, Lumsden Hare, Mary MacLaren, and Evans are in the allstar cast.
The management of the Gaiety Theatre advises that the proceeds of to-night’s entertainment are to be handed to Mrs Cooke as a slight token of the esteem in which she is held and in recognition of a long number of years of faithful service as pianiste. Mrs Cooke.is about to leave the district.
