SERVICES RECOGNISED.
MR. 11. W. EVANS HONOURED. PRESENTATION FROM CHOIR. A very happy function took place at the choir practice of St. Paul’s Church, Paeroa, on Sunday evening, when the Rev. F. B. Dobson, on behalf of the choir, presented a set. of gramophone records of the Morning Service and 1 Evening Canticles to the choirmaster, Mr R. W. Evans, as a mark of the esteem and affection in which he is held and ats a memento of the many years of faithful service he has given to the work of the choir. The records are of a rendering of the service by the choir of St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, and Dr. Fellows, and give on the eight sides of the four records the whole of the Morning Prayer so arranged that the lessons can be read in the right places, and also the Evening Canticles, should one prefer the Evening Prayer.
A gathering in the Parish Hall at an early date is being arranged by the choir, when Mr Evans has promised to play the records.
