GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT.- “ REMEMBRANCE.” “Remembrance” does for father what “The Old Nest” did for mother; it presents the head of the house in a sympathetic light. He “comes first after everyone else,” but in .the end he comes out strong. "Pop” Grout is the head of a household which has developed into “spenders” ; they look upon "Pop” as “a good thing” to be worked to the limit—and “Pop” works to the limit for his family. When the limit is reached “Pop” has an illness which nearly carries him Off to a better world and his family awake to a belated sense of his importance in their ilttleworld ot the present. Mrs Grout becomes again the helpful, sympathetic wife ; the worthless son who was on the point of stealing the securities upon which the rehabilitation of the family fortune depended, awakens to his worthlessness and repents ; and the daughters find they have a real' affection for their father.
SATURDAY NIGHT. “THE SILENT WATCHER.” Bessie Love and Glenn Hunter are the featured players in “The Silent Watcher,” adapted from "The Altar on the Hill,” to be shown to-morrow, night. "The Silent Watcher” pictorially relates the story -of Joe Robert's, secretary to John Steele, famous, lawyer and senatorial candidate, and their respective family and business affairs. The story is said to possess much of intense human appeal and concerns the loyalty of a man for his “Chief,” and the sacrifice it entailed. Glen Hunter, interpreting the role of Joe Roberts, is reported to have given one of the finest dramatic' performances the screen has ever seen, and Miiss Love, as Mary Roberts, likewise reaches dramatic heights.
