GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TONIGHT. “ THE SOUL OF THE BEAST.” Adventure, romance, and drama crowd every reel of ‘‘Soul of the Beast,” to be shown to-night. The story opens in a circus, and a number of scenes are devoted to the fascinating circus turns, which never fail to appeal to old and young alike. One elephant star, however, crowds all the other animal actons off the map with a performance uncanny in its intelligence. No elephant before lias done such stunts as Oscar. After her successes in ‘‘Hail the Woman” and Lorna Doone” Madge Ballamy wsa unanimously chosen to- fulfil the role of Ruth, the elephant girl. Cullen Landis, as the crippled hero, holds the sympathy in his unequal fight to befriend the elephant girl and protect her from the town bully, realistically played by Noah Beery. A terrific storm is the cause of many adventurer, and incidentally a big romance.
