HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., reports having had a fair entry of all classes ot stock in the Frankton yards on Tuesday last. Beef was firmer than in the previous week ■while mutton showed a slight decline. Pigs met with good competition at late rates. Beef: Fat steers £l3 4s, medium £ll, light £9 to £9 12s 6d, small and unfinished £5 15s to £7 16s ; fat cows £6 15js to £7 4s, medium £6 to £6 12s, light £4 15s to £5 10s, unfinished £4 to £4 5s ; 3% to -4-year steers in store condition £7 to £7 4s ; 2% to 3-year £5 17s 6d ; store cows £2 to £2 10s, Sheep : Prime heavj' fat maiden ewes £2 2s 3d, fat wethers 38s 6d to 38s 9d, medium shorn hoggets 24s sd, 2-tootii to 5-year ewes in lamb 36s 3d, failing mouth ewes in lamb 235. The advertised line of pedigree Ayrshire cattle realised 15 to 20' guineas, a few of the animals being passed in as they did not reach the vendor’s reserve. Dairy cows, July calvers, made from £7 to £9, ordinary £5 to £6 ss, backward £3 to £4 ss. Pigs : Baconers £3 14s ta £4 4s ; light, baconers £3 3s to £3 6s ; porkers £2 10s to £2 17s, light £2 to £2 2s ; sows in pig £6 5s to £7 10s ; heavy choppers £6 to £7.
