DAIRY PRODUCE.
LONDON WEEK-END CABLE. BUTTER AND CHEESE PRICES. The latest information received by the N.Z. Co-operative Dairy Company concerning Home market prices states that Anchor butter is selling at 1745, unsalted 180 s. Danish butter is 182 s, and the strike is settled, regular shipments commencing on Monday. The market is firm, but small quantities of held butter were sold at 170-1725, large quantities still being held for higher prices. America is buying the Canadian make, and little is offering on the Home market. Irish butter is bringing 1745. The market generally is pessimistic, a reaction being expected, but traders are. in short supply. Retail price is unchanged, and an advance to Is 9d-is expected on Monday. White and coloured cheese is bringing 945. Canadian fe offering at 90s c.i.f., but the market is quiet. Stocks held at June 1 totalled 60,000 crates, compared with 133,000' last year. Indications are for a larger Canadian production.
