THE PRIMATES VISIT. SERVICES AT ST. PAUL’S. His Grace the Primate and Archbishop of New Zealand (Dr. A. V. Averill) arrived in Paeroa from the Hauraki Plains on Monday afternoon. In the evening, assisted by the Rev. F. B. Dobson, he administered the Rite of Confirmation to six young men and 16 young women at St. Paul’s Church. A very large congregation attended the service, and extra accommodation had to be provided down the aisle and at the Altar. After the service His Grace informally met tlie parishioners and spent an hour in social intercourse in the Parish Hall.
Yesterday afternoon a visit was paid to Karangahake, and in the evening a men’s at-home in the local Parish Hall was attended. An enjoyable evening was spent in 1 song and story, and the Primate entered heartily into a game of bridge and ping-pong. This afternoon His Grace leaves for Waihi, and to-niorro,w' he will visit Waitawhcta, leaving for Tc Aroha on Friday.
