WORRY IN TRADE CIRCLES. OUT OF DATE BEFORE MARKETED Fashions in women’s footwear have become as fickle and changeable as fashions in nats and gowns, states the “Daily Mail," and in shoe trade circles there is anxiety about it. Shoe retailers in Paeroa complain that stocks are often almost unsale • ; able before they arrive, owing to sudden changes in taste. A trade observes who spent Sunday morning in Hyde Park told a reporter chat he saw womep wearing: Beautiful skin shoes of lizard, snake and crocodile. Hand-painted Oriental and floraldesign shoes. Shoes with heels band-painted on silk in jazz and floral styles. Shoes with gold, silver green, blu.i. red. and tortoiseshell heels. Shoes that absolutely matohe 1 brightly-cbloured costumes, tinned to some British m.anufacturer;s 71i(.usands of shoes have been reas useless because women report that the y are ’ not now “as worn.”
