TO-NIGHT DOUBLE-STAR PROGRAMME. “ THE CRITICAL AGE." The glorious joys of school days, intermingled with a heart-throbbing romance and plenty of thrilling action, will be found in “The Critical Age,” the Maister Picture version of Ralph Connor’s greatest story, “Glengarry School Days," which is also to be shown to-night, it is the story of a dreamer who suddenly awakes when lie discovers that he ha-s a rival for his boyhood sweetheart. There is a stirring incident when the huge dog da?lies into the rapids and saves the girl ; there is a heart-throbing moment when the boy discovers the girl inir.iceiitly kissing his rival, and there nre laughs galore surrounding kid life in the country school. It is one of Ralph Connor’s celebrated stories of the big outdoors with a locale laid iii the forests of Canada. " THE PLUNDERER." 1 here are thrills and excitement in every foot of the William Fox production “The Plunderer,” a story of the real, old-fashioned gold-greedy wvsc, which is to be shown to-night. Frank Mayo, cast in the role of the youns mine-owner, makes a hero handsome enough to captivate the most critical feminine heart, and Evelyn Brent and Peggy Shaw are equally good as “vamp" and ingenue, respectively.
