—•—• — SATURDAY’S RESULTS. Fine weather prevailed on Saturday afternoon, when the < first monthly medal handicap was played on. the local links. There ; were good entries for both the ladies’ and men’s competitions. . The ladies’ match resulted in a win for Miss F. Walmsley,' with a score o f 102—19-83. Tlie next best cards returned were: Miss E. Walmsley, i 11—27—84 ; Miss L. Thorp, 111—24— S 7: Mas Edwards, 114-27-87; Mrs Bray, 98—6—92 ; Mrs Lawialice, 130— 32—98. : '
The men's competition resulted i’l very good golf for the commencement .of the season. The winner, was ,H. G. Somervell, with a card of. 88—16—72. Other cards were: C. Kenny, 100 — 25—75 ; H. H. Bray, 85 —9 —76 ; R LMiller. 91—12—79; W. R. Dales, 96— 16—80.
