DISTRICT NEWS.

- ♦ NETHERTON. REMOVzXL OF HALL. The committee administering the affairs of the Netherton Hall had intended having the building lined in the near future, but on this coming to the ears of the resident engineer cf the Public Works Department he advised deferring the work, as the building would have to be shifted to permit the erection of the W.aihou River stop-bank across the site. If the committee would consent, the building would be removed within a very short time % It would appear from this that the department intends to commence work on the stop-bank at no very distant date.
