GENER.IL MEETING. A meeting of the Hauraki Plains A. and P. Association was held at Kerepeehi on Wednesday evening, .Mr P. R. Henry presiding over Messrs H. Hoff, W-. E. Chick, C. Nicholson, J. Pearce, and W. Booth (secretary). LEASE OF SHOWGROUND. The president reported that an offer had been made to lease the show? ground. Public tenders had therefore been called, blit no fresh offers had been received. The tender from Mr J. H. Nicholson, and was accepted, the price being £5O per annum for the 40 acres. The tenderer will supply a new gate and two strainer posts, and repair the fence at the front entrance. He will also teed hay on the ground. ANNUAL MEETING. It was decided that the annual meeting of the association be held some time in June after the books had been audited. SPORTS MEETING. The question of holding a sports meeting was brought up, and it was advocated that a modified programme of hcise events and chopping events should be held, but after a full discission on the financial prospects it was agreed that the risk was tco great.
